We hope you will be completely satisfied with any product purchased from Lapeano Fashion, but if you wish to return an item to us, we aim to make it as quick and convenient as possible.
Should you not be satisfied with your order, we offer you the chance to return the goods within 7 working days of delivery date for a replacement or refund.
Please not that returns and exchanges must be notified in advance by email: info@lapeano.com.
Important conditions for returns/exchanges
Items must be returned in the original state and in the original packaging. In original state means that all tags must be attached to the garment in original form. We cannot take back worn (of course you can try on the items, like in a physical shop), soiled or damaged swimwear. We reserve the right to refuse returns if we suspect that the returned items have already been worn or damaged through no fault of ours. This also applies if items have not been washed correctly. For elaborate washing instructions see item ‘washing instructions’.
The shipping costs and risk for return packages are at your own expense, also if you want to exchange items. Therefore send your package to us via insured/prepaid mail and enclose a copy of your invoice. We do not accept freight collect packages.
After receipt of the return package and approval that the products are in their original condition, Lapeano Fashion will refund the returned items. Shipping charges will not be refunded.
If you want to exchange items for another size, colour or item, please notify us by email what you would like to receive in exchange. If the items you would like to receive are less expensive than the returned items, you will receive a refund for the price difference. If the items you would like to receive are more expensive than the returned items, than you have to remit/pay the price difference. In order to deliver the exchange items we will charge the shipping costs.
Please be aware that return postage fees cannot be refunded unless the reason for the return of the goods was due to an error made by us. If the error is ours we will then refund postage costs up to a maximum of the postage price you originally paid on your order.
Procedure for returns/exchanges:
- Contact us as soon as possible by email, but no later than within 5 working days after receiving the order.
- State clearly which goods you would like to return or exchange.
- Wait for the confirmation email from Lapeano Fashion.
- After receiving the confirmation from Lapeano Fashion, you can return the products, taking the following points in consideration:
- Items must be securely packed and returned in the original state, in the original packaging.
- Mention your complete name, address, telephone number and enclose a copy of the original invoice.
- All goods should be returned via a prepaid, insured, traceable service to: Lapeano Fashion, Wytemalaan 18, 1814 GW, Alkmaar, Holland.
- We advise you to send your return via a prepaid, insured, traceable method, since all risks for damage or loss during transport are for the clients’ account.
Please retain your shipping documentation so that you can contact your shipping company in the event that the goods are damaged or lost in transit.
For International Customers (including US): You must put ’Dutch Returned Goods’ on any airway bill or similar documentation in order to avoid VAT and import duties.
Returning goods on which duty has been paid
If you have paid import duty for goods received, and subsequently return the goods to us, it should be possible for you to claim a refund of duties from your local Customs authority. To do this, you will need to show them proof of duty paid and proof of export (e.g. certificate of posting) when claiming your refund.
